wedding celebrant ceremonies

Wedding vows are in integral part of any ceremony and I will supply a host of samples from which couples can mix and match. I also supply information and how to write your own vows and tips on what to include.

You will need to answer some simple questions

Yes, it's homework time. Sit down in a quiet space with paper and pen and answer these questions. Even if you don't think the answer will end up in your wedding vows, still take the time to write it down. It may help you in the long run. If you encounter writer's block, first try taking a short break. If you're still having trouble, try speaking the answers into a tape recorder, letting the thoughts flow freely.

  • What is the single greatest thing about the person you are going to marry?
  • When did you know that you were in love/ know that this person was the one you wanted to marry?
  • What does marriage mean to you? Why do you want to be a married person?
  • What will change about your relationship once you are married? What will stay the same?
  • What is your most favourite memory of your partner?
  • When you were little, did you dream of your wedding day or your future spouse? How does that vision match up (or not) with your sweetheart?

Once you have drafted your wedding vows, try reading them out to a trusted friend and this will then give you an idea if you are on the right track. Wedding vows are an individual and personal thing and something from the heart is always the best way to go. As your marriage celebrant, I can always offer advice if you are unsure.

THE CEREMONY

The ceremony is a personal thing for couples and I supply several versions for mix and matching. There are a few legal sections in the ceremony like the Monitum and declaration, but the remainder of the ceremony like poems, wedding vows etc. are determined by the couple.

As your marriage celebrant, I am here to help and advise.

Wedding ceremonies are my passion and when chosen by a couple to perform their marriage ceremony, I will ensure that your day is personal, a fun occasion, bring a balanced approach to the ceremony and a day to be remembered by all in attendance.

I incorporate the following.

  • Set up a meeting to meet the couple to get the ball rolling.
  • Get a feel from the couple as to the type of service they are looking for.
  • Ensure that all paperwork is completed in an orderly fashion.
  • Supply a list of songs that have been used previously by couples to make it easier for the couple.
  • Provide PA system at no cost
  • Free travel
  • Supply a host of sample vows and ceremonies to enable the couple a broad selection of options from which they can choose.
  • Supply a “how to” list on writing own vows.
  • Supply a signing table and chairs if required.
  • Forward documentation after the ceremony to BDM
